New cooking ideas, im running out

Well I know its been a long time since I posted a blog, but I have been really busy and just really didn't know what to blog about in recent times.  But Friday I ordered a new cookbook to help me with some more low calorie healthy recipes.  (still staying on the low sugar side or subbing a BFC sugar approved sub in place of real sugar)  I ordered the Betty Crocker 300 Calorie Cookbook that I saw in a Women's Day magazine last month.  Its has some really yummy ideas that I wanted to try.

I wanted to share this idea with everyone.  And I thought it might be fun if everyone else shared some ideas for coming up with new things to eat so this diet doesn't get to boring.

What is everyone's most common three meals they eat?  I heard its good to eat basically the same sorta of things for breakfast and lunch everyday and then toss up a difference with dinner.  Anyone else heard this?  Like for example if you eat eggs each day that should be your breakfast, and if you like tuna salad each day that should be your basic lunch....I mean I know you can toss it up a bit, but it just helps your body stay stable or something I guess.  I am no expert that is why I ask this question.

Please share your food ideas.  We can all help one another by sharing. :)

Thank you and everyone keep up the good work!!

  1. Hi Lindsay. My most common food/meals are eggs/toast or low carb/sugar cereal for breakfast, various types of wraps or quesadillas for lunch. Dinner varies based on what I make for the family, and I just adjust what I need to from that. I try to get as many veggies as I can throughout my meals and snacks. I like having consistency like that. If I do get bored I'll switch it up some, but usually these are the types of foods that I end up wanting to eat most of the time anyhow because I happen to like them.

  2. Thanks for sharing your meal choices. It helps me vary mine a little bit. I get bored with the same stuff over and over. Actually when I go to my farmers market here, I am going to try to find those Shiritaki noodles Rosalie suggests in her blog and try them with some sauteed veggies. Sounds pretty yummy to me! I am going to have to make up some new wrap ideas for lunch too, but again thanks for all the ideas! :)
