A little weight loss...

Day 3 of my diet and I have lost 1 lb., but I probably should only weight once a week to see a greater overall loss.  I have done really well with my lunch choices, but not as well with dinner choices.  I have skipped breakfast everyday and I know that is a BIG "NO NO", but I am usually not that hungry right when I wake up.  And warmed up eggs is not yummy to me, so I am trying to think of something fast and on the go to eat once I get to work.  Lunches have consisted of turkey, lettuce, and cheese low carb wraps.  All I have drank is water lately.  No sodas, no coffee....yay me!!  My only downfall has been at dinner, because the first night I had to go to the grocery store and was late getting home so of course me and my husband grabbed a quick dinner.  I ate a Chimichanga :( ....though the chicken wasn't bad for me, the deep fried outer shell tortilla was :(  (one slap on the wrist for that one!)  Then last night I ate at Ruby Tuesday's and I had the grilled tilapia with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes.  Now I know that one wasn't awful, but I could have gone without the cream sauce on top of the fish and choose extra broccoli instead of mash potatoes.  But its my first week and so far I think I have accomplished a pretty good start.

  2. Great job Lindsey! Thanks for commenting on my blog today. We can all support each other and carry each other through this! Eating out is hard; I did it last night too and struggled. One day at a time. Keep up the great work!

  4. Hi! I found you over at Jaimie's blog. Good for you that you're committed to taking care of yourself. Breakfast is very important. Maybe until you're used to having something on your stomach in the morning, you can start with having a Doctor's carb rite bar for breakfast. I have never had one myself, but they are BFC friendly and it may be just what you need right now. Good luck!

  5. Hey everyone!!! :) Nice to meet you all. For those of you that have blogs, I believe I have already clicked follow :) I know I was looking through all the blogs that pertained to the BFC challenged. This is one of the reason I decided to start a blog myself. I thought by us commenting and reading each others blog, it would help us stay motivated. :) Thank you for all the great comments everyone :) I was so excited to see when I logged on today.

  6. I guess I'm out of the loop on that. What BFC challenge are you speaking of? I found all of you through the 3FC boards. One person's link there lead to another person's blog, then to another, etc. The activity over there is very slow and I'm finding it difficult to get consistent support. I almost feel like I need to start my own blog in order to get support, but I'm a private person when I'm online and I don't like the idea of having a blog that any random person could read. I have been very stressed the last two day and caved in to stress eating. I was coming to everyone's blogs, and the forum, throughout the day to try and keep myself distracted, but there was hardly any activity anywhere. Oh well, I guess we all have days like that.

BFC stands for Belly Fat Cure :) Its a book written by Jorge Cruise and its awesome. You should be able to pick it up through Amazon or any book store like Borders or Barnes and Noble. I am not sure if that is what you were asking if you were talking about a particular BFC Challenge. I was just saying I was looking through everyone's blogs that pertained to this particular diet. I have done this diet before but for the summer, I was taking care of my three nieces and there were too many outings and snacks and I sorta threw the diet out the window until just this week when they went back to school. Try this diet link for a simple meal plan of Jorge's. It doesn't matter if you are over 40 or not. Its just an easier menu then the book. Because I know somethings are really hard to find that he suggest to use in his book. But I know at the end of December he is coming out with a new book. Which I am looking forward to that is suppose to be more fast track and simpler foods. Here is the link http://jorgecruise.com/storage/Belly%20Good%20Menu.pdf

Also yes we all have the bad days. I have a big addiction with milk lol!!! That is my hardest thing on this diet. I have to have a glass every night. And last night I had a couple which is very bad for sugars and carbs on this diet. So yes I think some cheating will happen, but that just makes us normal. :) We just have to learn how to fight that want for something outside of the diet so we can achieve our long term goals.

  8. @Minichick....

I wouldn't worry about the blog writing if you don't feel comfortable. Yes many can read what you write, but I don't worry what I write because its what I feel and anything that helps me reach my goal is always great I think. But you could always keep a personal journal if you like to stay more private. Might help with your food tracking too. Just write down everything you eat. :) Hope this was helpful

  9. Oh, I do have the book. I guess I just thought you meant that there was an actual BFC challenge out there somewhere that I wasn't aware of. I don't have facebook, twitter, or any such thing, so I thought maybe there was a challenge going on through one of those networking channels that I was oblivious to. Thank you for your words of encouragement!
