Went to the gym 1st time in forever

Good morning fellow bloggers,

I just wanted to write a short post. 

I went to the gym last night and walked a little over a mile on the treadmill.  It was all I could do because I am just starting back.  It was hard to find the time but I know I need to start getting more active.  After work there was traffic, I had to go to the grocery store and that was crowded then putting everything away at home, and then to the gym.  I wasn't feeling hungry before so I ate when I got back but it was on a plate the size of a dessert dish because I was trying to limit my food at that time.  Does anyone work out?  Do you eat before or after the gym?  I actually prefer working out on an empty stomach unless its a walk around the neighborhood then I would eat and walk after dinner.  I know its good for digestion and stuff.  I have decided I would like to shoot for my long term goal of losing 100 lbs.  I ideally I would like to lose 10-15 lbs per month but I know it slows down after the first hurdle is passed.  Right now I am my all time high of 230 lbs. : (  My ideal weight should be between 118-150 so I would like to be somewhat in the middle at about 130 if possible.  When I was in my early 20's I was 125 so I should think its possible knowing I have a medium body frame.  I am always posting what I wish and my goals, but I always struggle with making them happen.  But its become severe enough that I can't have children until I lose weight so I should look at this as doing it for my future family right?  Its sorta depressing.  I wish someone could just be my personal chef and my personal trainer.  Wouldn't that be the easy way?  HHEHEHE!

Well what to say....


Well, what should I say....

I don't have much to write about because after following the carb cycling for a bit, I feel off the wagon as I normally do.  Got to stressed from finishing school, helping my husband work, and doing all the millions of other duties a woman seems to always have to do!  Its never ending right?  It seems like I never get a chance to sit down unless I am at the office working.  I actually enjoy coming to work but its the one place that seems to be quiet which I need on occasion.  So even though I haven't followed the carb cycling plan still, I haven't been eating much for dinners because I never seem to be too hungry.  I use a dessert size plate to eat on and stick to that.  As soon as I can get things together and go to the grocery store Monday, I will be back following the guidelines (hopefully to the T).  I get pretty bored with foods though.  I hate bring my lunch to work because I prefer it to be fresh right out of the oven or frying pan.  Chicken and stuff like that just isn't yummy left over in the microwave because its too dried out.  I don't care for the low carb wraps too much because well I just don't like the taste.  I don't like the salads unless they are super fresh too because the lettuce tends to get wilted or begins to taste weird after its packed in my lunch container and kept in the fridge here at work.  What do you guys take for lunch to work that actually tastes good?  I need to work on breakfast better too now because I have a totally different schedule.  I started waking up at 5:30 am in August because my hubby and I are taking care of our niece now so she can go to school where we live instead of back home in PR.  Its been a big change because I am not a morning person and I definitely am not that hungry that early in the morning.  I guess I will have to boil some eggs and bring some microwave ready bacon or turkey bacon to work.  I know I will get tired of the egg but I could eat bacon everyday with no problem (hehe).  High school starts so early at 7 am here, I don't see how anyone can learn that early especially teenagers who like to sleep til noon most of the time, but those are the rules. 


Anyways....looks like I found something to say haha!!

Great to be back, I missed following all of you guys and writing to keep myself accountable.  I hope coming back to the blog will help me stick to eating right again.  I would love to lose those 80 lbs I need to lose.  I recently saw the People magazine ad about those people losing 100lbs and if figure if they did it and they were all about my weight, then I can do it.  I know there are others following the BFC that have had great success because you guys never gave up.  If I could just stick to it and do some exercise then I know I can achieve my goals (my dream of being skinny) again!

Been MIA for almost a year now....but I am coming back

Hey bloggers!! I don't know if anyone out there is still around or not.  I was gone for almost a year.  I may have posted some during that year but not much at all.  I am coming back in August : )  I started the carb cycling plan that Jorge came out with and lost 7 lbs. during the first week.  I don't expect myself to lose that every week but it was a shock for my body so that is why I lost up front so much.  I want to blog again for accountability because it helped me so much in the past when I originally lost 25 lbs with BFC (the original).  There has been so many additions or different versions added to the original plan.  I have been missing the past year because I went off the BFC and I went back to school full time on top of working full time.  I just didn't make time for blogging.  But now with graduation only four weeks away, I am anticipating coming back to blogging about my BFC journey.

I really enjoy the carb cycling plan a lot.  Its by far been my fav version of the BFC.  The only downfall I have reached was the weekends make it hard for sticking to the plan because being at home more and watching what the kids and my hubby and his brother eat are brutal during these beginning times.  During the week when I am busy with work and school after work, I don't have time to watch what they eat so its better.  Saturday and Sunday this past week, I did cheat with some extra carbs unfortunately.  But hey I lost the 7 lbs. and I am pretty darn proud of myself.  Now onto week two and more lbs to come off I hope.  So far I had my morning eggs, turkey bacon, handful of cashews as my snack and getting ready to eat my salad.  But really I am not even hungry yet and its 1 pm.  I will wait a while and try to eat some of it at least.

My goal is not to cheat anymore no matter what stress I am under or what laziness I feel or what temptations I may have!!

Sorry I have been busy!!

Hey girls, sorry I have been so busy lately.  School work, working, doing mine and my hubby's own business stuff, cooking dinners, etc.  I never find time to write on this blog anymore.  I haven't even got a chance to barely read anyone elses.  I am sorry guys that I have been so absent.  I am trying to eat as best as I can during these busy times.  I have found that I need it to be super duper simple.  So I was at the grocery store last night and I went through all the Michelena lite, smart ones, and lean cuisines that are under two carbs and under 5g of sugars.  I found a lot of yummy ones' so I got lunches for work this week.  Breakfast, I still need to think of how to make it fast because I don't even have time to make eggs.  I like boiled eggs but not for breakfast.  Any ideas?  Dinner is the one meal I usually have time to cook.  Last night I made one of the best dinners ever.  Pollo en Fricasse. MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!  I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it.  Just have to make it BFC friendly which I actually didn't check to see if it was.  But I didn't put anything too bad in it.  Anyways if anyone can pass along quick ideas for meals that work for them, that would be super awesome!!

Monday...just another one of those days

Well hello everyone!!  How was your weekends?  Hope they were well.  Mine was fantastic.  I went to the Women of Faith conference with my mom and my friend and her mom.  I recommend it highly if it ever comes in a city near you.  I think there were approx. 10,000 women there.  It was full of singing, laughs, and even tears, but I loved every minute of it.  I ate fairly well, but they did provide lunch both days of the conference so I ate what they provided.  

Today I ate Egg Mcmuffin for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch and pork chops with a little rice and peas for dinner.  I of course could have done with out the rice. : )  I left my HCG drops in the car Saturday so apparently per that diet, it says the drops become ineffective once left in high temps.  I would imagine it being in the mid 90s for the weekend, it was even hotter in the car.  I was pretty pissed off since I paid $35 for the bottle of drops, but maybe that was telling me that I should just do the good old regular BFC eating.  I don't know why I always try to lose weight faster.  I guess I just want it to magically come off.  I did well on the HCG diet, I lost about 6 lbs. in just 3 days, but I don't want to spend more on drops just to forget them in the car again on accident.  That gets to expensive.  So I pulled out my old BFC menu and I am back to it.  

School classes start Monday and I am excited and nervous.  I already got my syllabuses for the first two classes so I am getting in order and need to get a new computer this week.  Because my laptop has about had it.  The charger doesn't like to work right and of course a few other buttons on this thing.  I have been shopping around and I really like the Gateway All in One computer.  Anyone else gotten a new computer recently that they like and could recommend?

Day 1 Back on track

Well ladies I weighed myself this morning and it says 2 lbs. lost.  I think...  I got a regular scale and not a digital one this time because my digital ones' keep breaking.  Maybe that is a sign lol!!  Nah probably not, but I just bought a $10 good old fashioned scale instead of the $50 digital one's.  Trying to save money. Anywayssss.... ;)


What else is new for me?  Not much....hubby has been busy working working working which is good.  Getting lots of jobs so that is awesome.  People of course are slow to pay when their jobs are finished though which sucks big time.  Either that or they want 30 days to pay if they are a business.  Us being a small business, that makes it hard but if we don't allow the time then that business will go somewhere that does.  So ya know sometimes you gotta bare with it. 

I have had a little bit of a hard time starting back, but I will get on the wagon again eventually and not have any issues I hope.  I felt very exhausted yesterday and had a headache from the new eating plan again.  I will get use to it.  Maybe it was just because it was another bored out of my mind day at work.  Its busy one week here at the office then its dead as a doornail other days.  But as of August 22nd., I will have more to do with my time since I am returning to school to complete my Bachelor's.  I am finishing a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on business and social science since that is what the four years of college that I have already taken transfer.  If all goes as planned, I will be able to graduate in July 2012. : )  I only have about 10 classes to take and I am taking four fall semester at Liberty Univ. which is in VA, but I am doing the distance learning.  Wish me luck!! Hope I am still smart, lol!! Its been like 6 years since I have been in college.  Wow didn't realize its been that long til just thought about it now.  But I wanna complete this before having babies. :)  I plan this to be a busy year.  Diet, College, then planning babies!! hehe!!  Lots to accomplish. 

Yesterday I ate:

Egg scrambled and bacon for breakfast
Grilled Italian chicken breast and romaine salad with chopped tomato for lunch
4 medium strawberries chopped up with a little truvia sprinkled on top
Stir fry chicken breast with onions, broccoli and a slice of tomato
I did have some pringles and crackers mixed in for dessert because I was starving from not being use to the new eating quite yet.  I will get there though. : )

Im back!!

Hey everyone!  I am back finally...sorry I was away so long.  I had a very busy summer.  My nieces were with me and my hubby and well lets just say we were running running running.  But last week they returned home with their mom in Puerto Rico to start school this week.  It was wonderful to have them, but I did fail on the diet quite a bit while they were around.  But as of this past weekend I started back on my healthy lifestyle.  Luckily I only gained about 7 lbs. over the summer so that should fall right back off, probably even this week. 

I miss you girls!  Sorry I feel off the wagon for a while.  I know I shouldn't have, because I would probably be nearing my goal by now if not already.  Bummer, but hey it's my fault and no one elses.
